SLAY: On Tour Blog Tour- Kim Curran’s Writing Playlist

Hello everybody! Today, I’m thrilled to be sharing a guest post from Kim Curran, author of the fantastic Slay books, about her playlist for the book as today’s stop on the blog tour for her new release Slay: On Tour! Onto the post!

I can write anywhere: in my office at home, on the sofa, in cafes even on the bus. But I really struggle to write in silence. Music is an essential part of the process for me. So, whenever I set out to write a book, I always create a new playlist to write to. That way, as soon as I put it on, I’m sucked straight into the world!

My Slay playlist (or slaylist if you will) was entirely taken up by boy bands, but with Slay On Tour the band found a new sound – and so did my playlist. It’s a mash-up of boy band pop and K/J-Pop, with a little Dub-step thrown in for good measure. My favourite track on the list is Where are Ü Now.

If you’d like to read my full thoughts on the book, other than it’s great, you can do that here!

Do you prefer to work/write in silence or with background noise? What songs would be on your playlist? Are you planning to pick up the Slay series, or have you already? I’d love to hear in the comments!
