The Ultimate Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m doing another tag that I found on Tomes With Tea- the Ultimate Book Tag. Onto the post!

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?

Yes, though nausea is an almost constant symptom of my health condition so I feel sick In plenty of other situations too.

2. Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?

Ooh this is hard. I tend to gravitate towards quite similar writing styles

3. Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give three points to defend your answers.

I haven’t read Twilight, I don’t want to at all and I really liked Harry Potter!

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so, what’s in it (besides books…)?

No, my books just go in either my school or handbag alongside other things. Other things in those might include water, a snack, lipstick and my school notebooks.

5. Do you smell your books?

Not routinely. Sometimes to calm down if I’m upset.

6. Books with or without little illustrations?

I love little illustrations! All for them!

7. What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?

I honestly have no idea. If I love something, I don’t feel guilty about it regardless of whether the writer is technically phenomenal.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share!

Most people will probably find this horrifying rather than hilarious, but as a child I used to hold my place in books with other books, rather than being normal and using bookmarks.

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf?

I have no idea- maybe the Case of the Missing Treasure? It’s a teeny novella.

10. What is the thickest book on your shelf?

Probably Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!

11. Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?

No, not really. On both counts.

12. When did you get into reading?

I just always have been!

13. What is your favourite classic book?

Either The One Hundred and One Dalmatians or Charlotte’s Web, I can’t choose!

14. In school what was your best subject?

My best subjects have always been French and Spanish- I absolutely love Modern Languages!

15. If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated… what would you do?

Say thank you and then unhaul at a later date!

16. What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or The Hunger Games?

The Nevermoor books are quite like Harry Potter! Also, the upcoming Starfell series is just as utterly magical so it deserves a shout out here as well.

17. What is a bad habit you always do (besides rambling) while filming?

I don’t do Booktube so I don’t film! I say em and um and like a lot though so it’d probably be that if I did.

18. What is your favourite word?

My favourite word to say ever is actuellment, which is the French word for currently.

19. Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all of the above?

I don’t know the difference and I don’t really like any of those words. I’d probably say geek if I was using any?

20. Vampires or Fairies? Why?

Fairies. Because I like more stories with them than vampires.

21. Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?

Shapeshifters- same reason!

22. Spirits or Werewolves? Why?

Spirits- more interesting.

23. Zombies or vampires? Why?

Neither really, but I guess vampires if I had to pick.

24. Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?

Love triangle all the way.

25. Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?

I really do quite like a full on romance book.

What would your answers to some of these be? I’d love to hear in the comments!

101 Dalmatians is a great choice – did you read Starlight Barking too? I loved that even more and would get it out if the library repeatedly!
