The Anything But Books Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m doing another tag and this time it’s the Anything but Books Tag, which I found on Sarah’s blog. Onto the post!

Name a cartoon that you love

I don’t watch any now, but my faves when I was younger were Fireman Sam (the old version, not the trash today’s youth are subjected to), Peppa Pig and Timothy Goes to School.

What is your favourite song right now?

As you’ll probably guess from an answer a bit later in this, this is a REALLY hard question for me because I love music so, so much. It honestly changes every day on like a functional level of what’s stuck in my head but I also have certain songs that are constants and it’s TOO HARD. My fave new thing I’ve heard recently is the cover of You Don’t Get Me High Anymore that Billie Eilish did in the Live Lounge. I’ve also been listening to George Ezra even more than usual recently, particularly some of his older stuff. I’ve obviously always loved this song but I think the one I’ve been loving most is Over the Creek. It’s not changed my faves from Wanted on Voyage but I’ve been listening to it loads (my faves from that album are Breakway and Drawing Board). My Favourite song ever in terms of writing is Another Love by Tom Odell and my favourite song ever musically is probably Shotgun.

What could you do for hours that isn’t reading?

Lots of things, but watching TV is probably the main one. My favourites that are still ongoing are Dynasty, Suits and Grey’s Anatomy, but I also keep up with Station 19 and I’m usually watching something that’s a bit older on Netflix too, eg at the moment I’ve just started Riverdale. Yes, I do know I’m very late to the party!

What is something that you love to do that your followers would be surprised by?

My answer for this is along the same lines as Sarah’s because I was struggling to think of something but I think it’d surprise people to know that I watch and really quite enjoy TOWIE.

What is your favourite unnecessarily specific thing to learn about?

Music terminology! Particularly in terms of lyrics and song structure.

What is something unusual that you know how to do?

Is it unusual to be able to speak a fair bit of French and Spanish? I’m not sure, but I can do that!

Name something that you made last year and show us if you can.

I have no idea for this one! I made lots of lists I guess? Lists are the best.

What is your most recent personal project?

I guess this would be my folios that I’m working on for my Advanced Highers. I finished off the Spanish and hopefully the English last week and I’m hoping to have the French done soon! Hopefully even finished by the time you read this! The English one is personal and discursive writing; the French and Spanish ones are essays about pieces of literature from the modern language.

Tell us something that you think about often?

Books seem like an obvious answer so I can’t say that…
I spend quite a lot of time theorising about my favourite TV shows and trying to pick up hints from sets via lightly stalking the cast on Twitter and Insta.

Give us something that is your favourite, but make it oddly specific.

My Favourite type of Goldbear is the pineapple flavour and if they made separate packets of just those it would bring light to my life.

Say the first thing that pops into your head.

Do we have anything in common from these? I’d love to hear some of your answers to these in the comments!

Amy x

  1. Good shout on Fireman Sam – I went to see the stage show of this when I was little and FS said Happy Birthday to me! Claim to fame right there πŸ˜†
Are advanced highers like a levels? Sorry for being old and clueless! Good luck with them either way.
I’ve never had a goldbear – tangfastics all the way!

    1. I went to a stage show once too! It was so fun from what I remember 😊😊
The very honest answer is I’m not 100% sure- I think they’re around the same level but possibly slightly higher? It’s because I’m in Scotland and our system is different that I do them! And here Highers are what determine getting into uni
      I’ve never had tangfastics I don’t think πŸ˜‚

      1. They sound the equivalent to a levels then – that’d be what gets you a uni place (or not!) here.
Tangfastics are THE BEST! I ate loads while I was pregnant. They’re the only hsribo I like cos they’re fizzy and sour.
