The Spotify Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be doing the Spotify Book Tag, which I was tagged for Cora. I’m very excited, since I love both Spotify and books! Onto the post!

Hit Rewind: a book you go back to again and again?

I think the thing I’ve probably reread most ever is Geek Girl and its sequels!

Romantic Ballads: a book that gives you all those fluttery feels?

The first one that comes to mind is Open road Summer, which feels apt since it’s about music! Can I have a Matt please?

Release Radar: a new release book you are excited for?

I think the Lost Tide Warriors still counts as a new release and I really want to get to get to that soon!

Discover Weekly: a book you havenโ€™t read yet but want to discover?

Assuming this means an older book, something a bit older I want to try and read soon is Stephanie Burgis’s Magick trilogy. They sound so good.

Alone Again: your fave book genre to read on your own?

My favourite genre is mystery, and I’m also a sucker for good fantasy and romance books.

Alternative: an indie book or author everyone should read!

I can’t think of one I’ve read I’d especially recommend, but one I’m looking forward to reading is Magical Masquerade.

Cheesy Hits: a book full of cheese that you just love?

I think Cathy Cassidy’s books would probably be considered cheesy by some people but I absolutely love them!

Summer Hits: a book you re-read every summer?

I don’t think I have one I reread every summer! I just reread as and when I can fit it in now.

Power Hour: an empowering feminist book or character you adore?

Spinster Club trilogy for the win! And my fave of the Spinsters is Evie.

All Out 10โ€™s: list ten banging books!

Going to do my last ten 5 stars, so here goes: Top Marks for Murder, Sasha’s Secret, the Paper and Hearts Society, Begone the Raggedy Witches, The Garden of Lost Secrets, I, Cosmo, Spies in St Petersburg, Jemima Small Versus the Universe, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Anna at War. I think that’s 10 but I’m atrocious for counting wrong so I’m sorry if it’s not!

What are your thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned? What was the last thing you listened to on Spotify? I’d love to hear in the comments!

  1. Ooh this is a fun tag! I think we have quite different answers apart from sharing a lot in the all bangers 10! And you must read Lost Tide Warriors, Tara is much more important in this one much to Fionnโ€™s chagrin

    1. I’ve started it (I finished All That Glitters earlier today, in tears as I always am at the end of that one!) And I’m SO enjoying it so far. I think it’s definitely the right choice for my special anniversary book, as it’s lovely to enjoy this one and remember it once I’ve put it down (the first one is all blurry in my mind if that makes any sense, other than really liking it and some details!) . Would love to read your answers to this ๐Ÿ’œ

  2. Haha – I was expecting your ten bangers to be all MMU with maybe a Geek Girl or Emma Carroll in there for good measure!
I definitely think *some* people would say Cathy Cassidy counts as cheesy, though I can’t think who… ๐Ÿ˜‰ !
