Hello everybody! Today, in honour of it being back to school week in most of the UK (ironically, everwhere except where I live!), I’m doing the Back to School Book Tag, which I found on As Told by Tina. Onto the post!
English/Language Arts – Name your favorite author’s (or books) writing style.
I think this has to go to Emery Lord. Her writing style is just EVERYTHING in all of her books.
Math – A book that made you frustrated!
Hot Dog Girl is the most recent. It had such potential to be brilliant, but I personally thought it was a hot mess.
Science – A book that really made you think or question things.
I found Wildspark by Vashti Hardy pretty thought provoking. It’s a really clever book!
Social Studies/History – Your favorite book from a different time period.
If you are a regular reader, do you even need to ask? Literally everything Emma Carroll has ever written, but especially the Girl Who Walked on Air and In Darkling Wood.
Art – Your favorite book with pictures.
I like loads of illustrators, but I think Becka Moor and Alex T Smith’s stuff is particularly brilliant and I love following them on social media.
Drama – A book you would love to see turned into a movie.
I think Begone the Raggedy Witches would make a really interesting film!
Music/Band – Name a character you think (or know) would have the same musical taste as you.
I LOVE this question. That said, it’s really hard to answer because my music taste spans lots of people. I have no proof whatsoever of this, but I feel like Harriet Manners might.
Lunch – A food from a book you would love to try.
I would LOVE to eat a chocolate frog!
Bus Ride Home – A book or author that is relaxing
Rereading Geek Girl never fails to calm me down, even if it’s just a couple of lines.
Extra Credit – A book someone else told you to read and you ended up enjoying it.
If Charlotte hadn’t said so many nice things about the Sorrow duology I’d probably never have read it, and I cannot imagine my life not knowing why Luvian Fen is the best. So thank you Charlotte!
What are your thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned? What was your favourite school subject? I’d love to hear in the comments!
Amy x
Great tag! I don’t think I could eat a chocolate frog but I definitely agree with many of your answers!!

You can get chocolate frogs you know?! They’re stupidly expensive though and probably not the same as eating an actual one from the books!
This is a really fun tag, I enjoyed reading your answers as always (though you missed out drama!) I might do it too.

Ooh excellent tag and answers! So many great books here. I loved Open Road Summer so I have no idea why I’ve not read more Emery Lord books.

I’m so pleased I read it! Luvian alone would have made it worth it, and I loved so many other things too 😍
