Five Wintry Books I’ve Accquired in 2019

Hello everybody!

Today, I’m doing another Top Ten Tuesday where I only have five on my list, and I’ve twisted today’s theme a bit to narrow it down for myself and make sure I’m not repeating the books I always mention when I talk about festive reads. Onto the post!

We Met in December– I read this in a couple of hours at the weekend, and it was just a joy. It was a bit different to Rachael Lucas’s work under her own name but I liked it a lot; it’s a great slow burn romance about Jess and Alex, who are both part of a pretty unusual flat sharing situation.

Love, Secret Santa– I only bought this on a whim, but a cute Christmas romance where someone falls in love with their Secret Santa sounds adorable and I look forward to picking it up!

Nevertell– I’ve read a chapter of this at the time of writing and I am really liking it so far. It’s about a girl that escapes from a prison camp and is then pursued by a sorceress. It sounds really interesting, and I can’t wait to fit in some more of it when I have time (if you read my post last week, you’ll know I’m in exam season in the moment and I’m more than a little bit overwhelmed, I won’t lie!)

The Way Past Winter– I’m pretty nervous about this one because I don’t usually get on with Kiran Millwood Hargrave, but I’m up for giving it a go. It’s about a girl who must find her brother after he disappears, and is set in a land of eternal winter.

The Christmas Wish List– this is part of a series about a town that I hadn’t heard of before picking this up, but definitely want to read all of if I enjoy this because they sound SO good. It’s a romance where someone moves to a new town and falls in love over Christmas, which sounds very much like something I will love.

What wintry books have you accquired this year? Have you read any that I’ve mentioned? I’d love to hear in the comments!

  1. I haven’t loved Hargrave’s middle grade either but I read an arc of her first adult novel recently and absolutely adored it so I’m gonna go back and reread all off her books now :))))

  2. I discovered The Goblin’s Winter last month through one of those emails that tells you books that are being offered for free on Amazon. The cover is very wintery and I’m only a few pages in, but pretty excited to get started reading it.
