The Testing My Memory Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be doing the Testing My Memory tag, which I found on Charlotte’s blog, and had so much fun doing. Onto the post!

Name a book written by an author called Michael.

The only Michael that comes to mind is Morpurgo, and I’ve only read a couple of his books so I guess War Horse?

Name a book with a dragon on the cover.

The Dragon Mountain cover has at least one dragon, and I think possibly several? There’s definitely a few on the inside cover. I’m so excited for it, really hoping it sticks to its original September publication date 🤞

Name a book about a character called George.

He’s not the absolute main character as the book itself mainly focuses on Simon, but Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy has a very lovely character called George who I really liked. And it took me an embarrassing length of time to think of him given I read this literally last week.

Name a book written by an author with the surname Smith.

The One Hundred and One Dalmatians is by Dodie Smith, and it’s BRILLIANT. And if you get the Alex T Smith edition it’s also illustrated by a Smith.

Name a book set in Australia.

Forever Geek is set almost entirely in Australia! It’s def not my favourite in the series, but I really love it and the setting is fab.

Name a book with the name of a month in the title.

It’s not actually a reference to the month because it’s set in winter if memory serves, but There May Be a Castle. Which I was not the biggest fan of, if I’m super honest.

Name a book with a knife on the cover.

Think I’m going to have to admit defeat on this one. I could have sworn the knife from First Class Murder was on the cover, but it’s not and I can’t think of any others.

Name a book with the word ‘One’ in the title.

I was spoiled for choice when I consulted my Goodreads for help with this, but I’m going to go for Podkin One Ear. Which I’ve still not read, much to my shame.

Name a book with an eponymous title.

Not her full name, but I think the Mask of Aribella would count? It’s such a great fantasy adventure with really clever worldbuilding, I’d highly recommend it.

Name a book turned into a movie.

I love the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movie a lot! Although I have to admit I wasn’t such a bug fan of the sequel- I didn’t like some of the changes they made, and I was raging they cut out the assassins game because it was one of my favourite parts of the book.

What would your answers to some of these be? What are your thoughts on the books/authors I’ve mentioned? I’d love to hear in the comments!
