The Christmas Eve Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, for my final day of the 12 days of blogmas, I’m going to be doing the Christmas Eve book tag, which I saw on Aoife’s blog. Onto the post!

Christmas Eve morning: what is a book you wake up excited to read? One you anticipate reading or one you read in the past that you want to get back into?

I’m not sure I quite understand this question, but this Christmas Eve I’m probably going to be reading Life of Riley. I’ve not read much yet but it’s really funny so far.

Christmas Eve breakfast: what are your favourite treats during the holiday season?

Assuming this means food, I love selection boxes and boxes of chocolates (my favourites are Celebrations but I also like Heroes). I can’t think of anything else though.

Family Time: What is a book that fills you with happiness and love, or warm fuzzies in general?

God, so many. Someday at Christmas is one that jumps out, it’s ridiculously lovely and I might make it an annual reread.

Christmas Carols: What are your favorite Christmas Carols or holiday songs?

My absolute favourite is Carol of the Bells, but I recently wrote a guest post about some others I love.

Anticipation: What is a book release you are very much anticipating?

There are a few out in January I think sound so good, but the main ones are Valley of Lost Secrets and a Vanishing of Griffins.

You hear sleigh bells on the roof and are so excited you can’t sleep!: What is a book that kept you up all night?

I don’t really do all-nighters, but one book I stayed up very late for was How Not to Disappear by Clare Furniss. It’s such an amazing, gripping story.

It’s Christmas morning, and Santa has come: What is a book on your wishlist that you hope to unwrap?

I don’t actually think I’m getting any books this year (at least, there aren’t any I know of). I’m fairly sure I’ll have a book token though, and some backlist releases I’m maybe going to spend those on are Otters’ Moon and Storm.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you manage to have a lovely Christmas, despite it being so much more difficult this year.
