The Estellosaurus Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be doing the Estellosaurus book Tag, which I found on Pretty Purple Polka Dots. Onto the post!

What are you reading at the moment, if you aren’t reading, what have you just finished?

I’m reading Wonderscape when I’m writing this! Which you’ll hopefully have seen my review for by the time you read this!

What book does everyone love that you just don’t get?

The Unhoneymooners is so popular with people who like romcoms and I found it so insanely boring, I can’t even tell you.

What book or book series deserves its very own Netflix (other streaming sites are available) series?

Amari and the Night Brothers!! There’s just too much to pack into a film but I need to see it on a screen. And the Songs of Magic series for similar reasons!

Is there a book you just could not finish? Why?

I have a whole list. None are particularly for dramatic or thrilling reasons though, it’s mostly I got bored and wanted to read something I’d actually enjoy cause I was in a bad mood at the time. Mostly if I really hate something I end up finishing it because I’m super nosy and want to see what happens so I can slag it off fully.

What book is your go to recommendation when someone asks you to suggest a good read?

I’ve foisted the Murder Most Unladylike books on basically everyone I love at this point. It’s actually scary how many people have read it because of me!!

Is there a book you’ve read multiple times? Why do you keep going back to it?

I love rereading! My copy of Geek Girl is literally falling apart at this point because I’ve read it so many times.

What was that one book you had to study at school you would definitely never, ever read again?

I’d be quicker telling you which ones I would read again to be honest. But I will never ever read Tennessee Williams again unless there is a gun to my head or I’m getting paid millions.

Is there a book that stirs a memory for you of a point in your life?

God, so many. I can tell you what book I was reading at pretty much any point. But one very vivid memory I have is not studying for my French Nat 5 cause I was reading the Graces and completely lost myself in it.

Who is one literary character you’d like to punch in the face?

James from Here’s Looking at You. And maybe Ana too actually. WHY WOULD YOU LOVE THE MAN WHO TORTURED YOU FOR YEARS AT SCHOOL? Make it make sense, please. I hate them both with a passion, especially for all the fat shaming shit they come out with over the course of the book.

If you could re-write the ending of a book, which book would you pick and how would you change it?

Okay, so BIG SPOILER ALERT HERE. Look away if you’ve not read the Falling in Love Montage (and go read it cause it’s so good!!). But WHY COULD THEY NOT END UP TOGETHER?? I find romances where the couple break up at the end so frustrating. Like realistically the first person you fall in love with most likely won’t be your soulmate but LET ME DREAM.

Thank you so much for reading! If you fancy doing this, please consider yourself tagged because I had so much fun writing it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned in the comments!
