The Disney Sidekicks Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I’m bringing you a post that’s literally been in my bookmarks to do for years, and that is the Disney Sidekicks book Tag, which I found on Lauren’s blog. Onto the post!

Mushu From Mulan- The Comic Relief- Name Your Favorite Hilarious Character or Your Favorite Comedy/Funny Book

My favourite funny books will probably always be the Geek Girl seriesz, but Mhairi McFarlane is probably my favourite romcom author right now- Last Night made me laugh so much (at least, it did when I wasn’t crying) The Seven Dwarves From

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves- Favorite Group / Ensemble

God this is so hard, there are so many I love! But I’m going to go for the characters Peyton travels with in Destination Anywhere (which I’ve literally just finished), because they’re so amazing and I loved spending time with their wee gang.

Pascal From Tangled- The Loyal Cheerleader Chameleon (Not a Frog, Flynn Rider)- Name a Book That Started Out One Way But Changed for You

Oooh this is interesting. I’m as stubborn as a mule so I don’t often change my mind, but Evernight was one I started out hating and ended up almost giving five stars!

Meeko From Pocahontas- Pocahontas’ Sly and Sneaky Raccoon Friend- Name a Plot Twist That You Did Not See Coming

The one at the end of Amari and the Night Brothers is hands down the best plot twist I’ve ever read, bar none. I absolutely can’t get over it all these weeks later.

Rajah From Aladdin- Gentle With Their Princess But Protective With Everyone Else- Name Your Favorite Best Friend in a Novel

To be honest it’s still Nat from Geek Girl, but I’ll try and think of another one so I’m not being super samey with my answers!

Sebastian From The Little Mermaid- The Musical Bunch- Name a Novel Where Music Played A Big Part or Made You Want to Sing Its Praises

Having anything other than Daisy Jones and the Six as my answer for this would just be straight up sacrilege. It ticks both boxes and it’s just extraordinary.

Maximus From Tangled- The Obstacle in Flynn Rider’s Way- Name a Character That Faces a Lot of Obstacles

The Widdershins family from A Pinch of Magic are SO unlucky, and I’m just about to read a Sprinkle of Sorcery, so I feel like Betty is a fitting choice.

Hamish, Hubert, & Harris from Brave- Favorite Family Dynamics in a Novel

Okay so they’re a found family really, but it’s definitely the Hotel Deucalion’s inhabitants from Nevermoor. They come over so much like a family I often forget most of them aren’t actually related! Ray From The Princess and the Frog- The Advice Givers- Book That Most Impacted Your Life I always find questions like this pretty impossible to answer because so many books have impacted on my life, but I think it might be Reasons to Stay Alive, which I read in December at a time when I desperately needed it.

Hei Hei From Moana- Name a Character That Steals the Show

God this is so hard! I think my best answer is Raphael from the Mortal Instruments because I adored him, even though he’s not a major character.

Gus & Jaq From Cinderella- Opposites Attract- Name Your Favorite or Worst Opposite Attracts Pairing

I’m not sure who my favourite is, but my least favourite is most definitely the couple from Here’s Loooking at You. I know this sounds mental given how I started this tag raving about Mhairi McFarlane, but I can’t get over how much this book wound me up.

Thank you so much for reading! Who’s your favourite Disney sidekick? What do you think of the books I’ve chosen for each prompt? I’d love to hear in the comments!

  1. I’m shocked at your best friend choice – I thought for sure it’d be Wells and Wong! But I know you love Geek Girl too!
Definitely agree about the Hotel Deucalion family!

    1. I hope me including Wells and Wong in my next tag post has lessened the impact of the shock 🙈😂
I honestly can’t wait for Nevermoor 4, though I’ll not hold my breath cause I reckon it’s going to be at least 2 years… x
