Hello everybody! Today, I’m back with another Disney themed book Tag, which I saw on Charlotte’s blog ages ago and have been meaning to do ever since. Onto the post!
“Tale A Old As Time” – a popular theme, trope, or setting you will never get bored of reading.
If I spy a reference to fake dating in a blurb, you’d better believe I’m reading that book.
Belle – a book you bought for a beautiful cover, that’s just as beautiful inside.
The Wild Folk’s cover is one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen, and I really enjoyed the story inside as well.
Beast – a book you didn’t expect much from by pleasantly surprised you.
I’d never read something I thought I’d hate, because for me the whole point of reading is enjoyment, but didn’t think I’d end up loving Bloom as much as I did. It was just so clever and funny and original and perfect.
Gaston – a book everyone loves but you don’t.
I know there are loads, but I’m struggling to think of one on the spot. The most obvious thing I can think of is the Hunger Games I think.
Lefou – a loyal sidekick you can’t help but love more than their counterpart.
Much as I love Stella, I kind of wish Beanie was the main character in the Polar Bear Explorers Club, he’s just so precious and his backstory is just as interesting, if not more.
Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumier, and Cogsworth – a book that helped you through a difficult time or that taught you something valuable.
Again, there are genuinely hundreds. So, one I haven’t talked about loads is Amari and the Night Brothers, which I read right after my beautiful dog passed away unexpectedly in March, and it gave me some much needed escapism.
“Something There” – a book or series that you weren’t into at first but picked up towards the end.
I didn’t really enjoy the Highland Falcon Thief, but I’m now an absolute Adventures on Trains fangirl!
“Be Our Guest” – a fictional character you’d love to have over for dinner.
Oh my god, this is too difficult!! Um, maybe Ade from the Boy in the Tower so I could feed him nice food that isn’t pigeon? He’s a wee angel.
Thank you so much for reading! Do you like Beauty and the Beast? What are your thoughts on the books I chose for the prompts?
Amy x
I am also a huge fan of the fake dating trope! So excited for Adiba Jaigirdar’s new release this month – it sounds like a dream!

Loved your answers. I adored Highland Falcon Thief but I definitely think the second book was better

Have you read Safari Star yet? I didn’t see how it could be better than California Comet, but I loved it even more!
