Quarterly Wrap Up: April-June 2021

Hello everybody! Today I’m going to be doing my second quarterly wrap up of the year, which I’ve only started in 2021 but I love doing because I always find stats interesting. I’m so proud of how much I’ve managed to read this year so far (and how much of it I’ve loved!).

Going into 2021 I knew I wanted to read so much more than I have been the past few years (even though I still read quite a lot of books), although I think I’ve also been drawn more to shorter books this year. Onto the post!

Number of books I read… overall: 83

In… April: 23

In… May: 31

In… June: 29

Average number of pages read (according to Goodreads at time of writing): 312

Longest book: Who’s That Girl?

Shortest book: Featherlight

MG: 47

YA: 27

Adult: 7

Most read genre: like I said last time, I have no scientific method for this, but looking at my collages from the past few months, I’m pretty sure it’s contemporary.

Average star rating (according to Goodreads at time of writing): 4.3

DNFs: 1

Number of 3 stars: 1

Number of 4 stars: 56

Number of 5 stars: 24

Authors I’ve read before vs authors I haven’t read before?: 55 vs 26… so not quite as balanced as last time. Note to self: read more debuts next quarter!!

How has your reading been over the past quarter? Do you enjoy reading about other people’s stats? I’d love to hear in the comments!

  1. Wow great reading. I stopped keeping stats for a while to reduce the pressure on myself – YOU know what I mean about self imposed rules!
I’ve read much more the last two months but haven’t kept record!

    1. I absolutely do!! In a way I think taking pressure off with reading and then counting it after 3 months has helped me read more 😂. But I was so pleased when I counted up this time, thought I must have made a mistake cause I’m so bad at maths!!
