Ten 2021 Releases I’d Like to Get to in 2022

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be sharing a list of 2021 releases I hope to get to this year, as part of Top Ten Tuesday. Onto the post!

Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age– I mistakenly thought when this came out that it was a really young chapter book kind of thing and as soon as I found out it is in fact an older middle grade, I wanted to read it. I’ve actually ordered a copy but it’s gotten lost somewhere so I’m hoping it turns up for the post I’m planning to read it for 🤞

Last One to Die– I’ve seen people call this both a horror and a thriller, so I’m not entirely sure what I’m getting myself into here, but the premise is really interesting and I’ve wanted to read it for a while, so I definitely want to get to both this and Win, Lose, Kill, Die.

A Place to Hang the Moon- again, this came out quite early last year but I only just found out about it recently. I’m hoping to get my hands on a copy soon!

The Accidental Apprentice- I’ve been planning to buy this for AGES and just keep forgetting, so figured I’d be as well waiting for the paperback to get it now since it’s only a few weeks away. It just sounds like a really fun, imaginative middle grade fantasy and I’m super excited, especially as it’s part of a series.

The Spanish Love Deception– this is a romance book I saw recommended loads in the last few days of 2021, and it’s got fake dating in it so I’m pretty convinced I’ll love it, really. And I think it’s set in Spain which should be fun!

The Supreme LieRachael recommended this to me because it has two dog narrators, which is all the information I needed to go and buy a copy, so I’m afraid I know precious little else about the plot.

The Last Fallen Star– I only heard about this in the first few days of 2022 and I’ve already bought a copy because I love the sound of it so much! It’s a Rick Riordan Presents book about Korean mythology and healing witches, which sounds super interesting and exciting.

Eva Evergreen and the Cursed Witch– this will actually be my current read the day this goes up so it feels a teensy bit like cheating to put it on here, but at least I know I’ll definitely get to one of them, right? It’s the sequel to the gorgeous cosy fantasy Eva Evergreen, Semi Magical Witch, which was one of my faves in 2021.

The Night My Dreams Came Alive– I’ve only read this author’s second book, back in 2019, but I want to get to bother her 2018 debut and her newest release at some point this year if I can. Juliette is really local to me as well so I want to support her as much as possible!

The Memory Thieves– my friend Lily loves this book, and the author, so I have vowed to read at least one if not all of his books this year! I have this sitting in a TBR box and I have plans to read it for a blog post around March time 😊

Thank you so much for reading! Which 2021 releases are you determined to get to this year? Do you have any common with my list? I’d love to hear in the comments!

  1. There are a couple of books titled the Accidental Apprentice. I’m plumping it isn’t the one by Vikas Swarup? Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age really sounds interesting to us, as well as the Memory Thieves. Look forwards to your reviews of those.

    1. No it isn’t, the one I’m talking about is by Amanda Foody 😊😊. I should hopefully be reviewing both of those in March or April, assuming my lost copy of Morgana Mage turns up somewhere… x
