Hello everybody! Today I’m doing a tag I found over on Instagram, which was created by Marcela and which I was tagged in by Sophie. Onto the post!
You loved more than you thought you would?
All Our Hidden Gifts comes to mind! I absolutely adored it and it’s one of my favourite things I’ve ever read, so while expected to enjoy it I hadn’t predicted that.
You bought because of the synopsis?
Possibly a bad thing to admit, but I rarely buy a book *just* because of a synopsis. Titles, vibes, recommendations, covers >>> synopses.
You bought because of how it looked?
Okay, this is much easier. Let’s say This Time Next Year because while I did want to pick it up as a New Year themed romance, it’s cover is stunning and like 90% of the reason why I bought it (no shade though, it’s a great book.)
You will never stop re-reading?
Oooh, probably has to be the murder most unladylike books! I’ve reread them so many times. You are confident you will love? Given my all out adoration for How to be Brave, How to be True seems like a pretty safe bet for a 5 star prediction.
That made you cry?
I cry at SO MUCH. Most recently the end of Gay Club! got me all weepy and in the feels.
You are nervous to read?
Someone recently finally convinced me to read some Jane Austen, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tiny bit nervous in case I don’t like Pride and Prejudice because it’s essentially universally beloved.
You will never stop recommending?
God, how can I pick just one thing? I love recommending books to people, hmu anytime if you’d like a personalised one as well 🙂
You know nothing about?
Honestly, I know nothing about so many books, it’s kind of embarrassing. If you’ve ever ead one of my most anticipated releases posts, you will know this already!! I couldn’t really tell you much about the House of Shells, but I’m really excited for it because I thought Children of the Quicksands was so great.
Sequel you loved more than the first book?
I liked the first book in the Blood for Blood trilogy (vendetta…?) BUT books 2 and 3 are two of the most incredible things I’ve ever read.
Thank you so much for reading! Are you a fan of paperbacks, or are you a hardback lover? What would your answers to some of these questions be? I’d love to have a chat in the comments!!
