Hello everybody! Today, I’m finally doing the Currently Reading book tag, which was created by Charly Reynhorse and I found on Charlotte’s blog. I actually thought I’d done this, but then I checked and it turned out I hadn’t, so figured I should probably do that. Anyway, onto the post!
HOW MANY BOOKS DO YOU USUALLY READ AT ONCE?
The answer till like, last month, would’ve been almost always one, two in very special circumstances. But now I always have at least two on the go, sometimes three! Honestly, I’m enjoying this change in my life and I think I maybe read more? But that could just be a coincidence so don’t quote me yet!!
IF YOU’RE READING MORE THAN ONE BOOK AT A TIME, HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHEN TO SWITCH TO READING THE OTHER BOOK? (DO YOU READ A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PAGES IN EACH?)
Obviously, if I’m buddy reading something and it’s set pages I’m reading, I’ll change when I reach that number, but often it is just 💫 vibes 💫 and what I’m in the mood for.
DO YOU EVER SWITCH BOOKMARKS WHILE YOU’RE PART WAY THROUGH A BOOK?
It’s not actually something I’ve thought about before, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually done this. I do alternate them but I tend to do it when I’m starting something new.
WHERE DO YOU KEEP THE BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING? Usually beside me, wherever I am. Although now I’m reading two at a time, I don’t always have BOTH with me. But sometimes I do, so again it just depends.
WHAT TIME OF DAY DO YOU SPEND THE MOST TIME READING? Oooh I like this question! Either afternoon or in bed would be my answer at the moment I think
HOW LONG DO YOU TYPICALLY READ FOR IN ONE GO?
Totally depends, on what else I’m doing, how much I’m liking the book etc! My limit is probably like 2 hours, but I don’t time myself so I’m not sure 🤣
DO YOU READ HARD COVERS WITH THE DUST JACKET ON OR OFF?
When I was a child, always off, but since I started this blog, with them on.
WHICH POSITION DO YOU MAINLY USE TO READ?
Either sitting up on pillows or lying down on my side, although to be fair that’s how I sit anytime I have a choice, it’s not exclusive to books. But I do also read if I’m like in a café or a waiting room or whatever somewhere and I’m bored, so in that case sitting on a normal seat I guess.
DO YOU TAKE THE BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING WITH YOU EVERYWHERE YOU GO?
At least one, yes! I occasionally forget to take a book out and I always, always regret it.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU UPDATE YOUR PROGRESS IN THE BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING ON GOODREADS?
Never! I’ve just never done it, but I always update that I’ve finished something when I do. Gotta keep those challenge numbers on track 😏
