Ten Books on My Autumn 2022 TBR

Hello everybody! Today, I’m posting a Top Ten Tuesday post on a Thursday, because I’m such a rebel. Only joking! It is because I had a blog tour on Tuesday, and still want to post a seasonal TBR. Onto the post!

REVIEW COPIES

Ghost Games- I love the Malice in Underland books ( and Jenni Bayliss-Jennings in general!) so I’m looking forward to this fun, silly read with spooky undertones and Alice in Wonderland parallels. They’re so wholesome and fun, but perfect for spooky season at the same time! The Last Monster- this one should hopefully be happening by the end of September! It’s the sequel to the Light Hunters, which I liked a lot, and I’m so looking forward to see what happens next after the ending of book one. (There are a few others I’ve taken ages with too, that should also hopefully be in this upcoming post!!)

Beyond the Frozen Horizon- I want to pick this- the new Nicola Penfold- up on a properly chilly day, beneath a heavy blanket. I don’t know why but I really feel like it’ll be my favourite of her books! Stone- this is set on or around Halloween, hence I’ve been saving it for October. I really liked Witch last year, and I’m sure this will be just as lyrically and poetically written.

The Other Ones- this has been billed as a spooky version of heartstopper, which just sounds delicious. It’ll hopefully be in the spooky vibes type post I’ve got planned!

OTHER THINGS

Spark- I think I’m going to be buddy reading this with my friend, and I’m very excited about it! It’s the sequel to Twitch, and I’m very intrigued to read more about Jack as I wasn’t a huge fan in book one to be honest.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief– I want to read all of these before the TV show come out as I’ve only ever read the first two but have always meant to continue. Also my new coworker LOVES them and was v shocked I’ve not read them so I need to rectify it badly :/

The Charmed List– I love Julie Abe’s MG so much, and I’m buzzing to get to her YA debut, which also apparently has autumnal vibes. It’s gonna be cosy and joyful and I’ll probably pick it up around my birthday.

And Then There Were None- I’ve promised several people that I’ll read an Agatha Christie in 2022. I’m going to make it happen, either in autumn or early December. HOLD ME TO IT.

Daisy Darker– I have this on hold at the library and I’m really hoping to get it before Halloween, as that’s when it’s set! You’ll definitely be sensing a theme with this TBR, and reading lots of spooky books probably isn’t wise given how anxious I am, but I think it’ll be fun at the same time! This sounds a wee bit like my fave thriller as well, which is excellent.

Thank you so much for reading! What’s on your autumn TBR? Do we have any books in common, or do you have any thoughts on mine? I’d love to chat in the comments!

  1. I certainly have to read Twitch and Spark. A good bit of Agatha sets me up, and I find she really does set a high target for others to, if not meet, then come alongside. But I am am biased I guess, as have seen so many and watched loads.
