The Cosy Autumn Book Tag

Hello everybody! Today, I have a tag post for you, which I found on Julie’s amazing blog. Onto the post!

1.) WHAT BOOK ALWAYS REMINDS YOU OF FALL/AUTUMN?

Jolly Foul Play! It’s from one of my favourite series and it’s set around Bonfire Night. There are actually quite a few autumnal Robin Stevens books, now I think of it!!

2.) WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE AUTUMNAL BOOK COVER I’m not sure yet when I’m going to read it, but I think Ghosts Bite Back has a very autumnal cover! I totally agree with Julie’s choices as well. My pick is orange and has ghosts and vampires.

3.) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AUTUMNAL DRINK TO READ WITH?

I am so boring- I only ever really drink water or flavoured water! So the answer to this is I don’t have one, sorry!

4.) DO YOU PREFER TO READ LATE AT NIGHT OR EARLY IN THE MORNING?

I actually quite like both! There isn’t really a time of day I especially read at, I just kind of fit it in wherever.

5.) HALLOWEEN IS COMING! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPOOKY READ?

Halloween is over, given I’ve taken ages to do this, but I’d say a spooky read I’ve loved this year is Last One to Die by Cynthia Murphy. It’s the first thing that popped into my head!

6) What is the ultimate comfort read for you?

I’ve already talked about a comfort reread I love, so I think think say a genre I gravitate to for comfort is romance.

7) What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?

My favourite snack always is chocolate. I’ll never answer anything else.

8) What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?

I don’t really burn candles in my room, and although my mum does sometimes in the rest of the house, but I don’t know what scent they are! I know someone who knocked one over and their house burned down, which kind of put me off, and also I don’t have a very strong sense of smell for some reason. My best guess is rhinitis but I’m not sure!

9) When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?

I love autumn as a season! I try and spend lots of time being cosy watching tv/movies, and I usually have some fun outings for my birthday.

10) What is on your autumn/fall reading list?

God, so much! You wouldn’t think that given there’s only 20 days left… but seriously, so much.

Thank you so much for reading! What’s your favourite thing about autumn? Do you have any thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned? I’d love to chat in the comments!

  1. Jolly Foul Play is a great choice! I’m not sure what I’d pick… I might do the tag and see! I miss doing some fun book tags like this! Always enjoy reading your answers to them though!
