Ten Books on my Winter 2022/3 TBR List

Hello everybody! So, today, I thought I’d take part in the Top Ten Tuesday theme of sharing your winter TBR, but I do also have a confession to make. I’ve only read a couple of my autumn list, at best… Lots of them are still very much on my list to get to at some point soon (especially Percy Jackson!!!), but I also don’t want to just repeat them all. So here is a new list, onto the post!

Explorers at Stardust City- this is potentially the final book in one of my very favourite series, so in a way I’m reluctant to read it, but it also wouldn’t feel right at all to finish the year not having read it. I’d also like to get to the Winter Garden by the same author soon!

Cosima Unfortunate Steals a Star- this is my friend Laura’s debut, and I am so excited for her to finally be published. I’ve known her since I was 15, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for her!! Plus her book has an ownvoices disabled heroine with a walking stick. This will actually be my first book of 2023, most likely.

Clara Claus Saves Christmas– this came on my radar because the author responded to my blogmas tweet this year, and I wanted to read it straight away, but especially after reading her post! It sounds like such a fun, festive story that will no doubt be super feelgood.

Stay Another Day- I’ve not read anywhere near as much Juno Dawson as I should have, particularly considering what a fan I am of her as a human and the fact I’ve LOVED 2 of the 3 books I have read by her. This one is about a complicated family Christmas, and I just know it’s going to be great!

This Book Kills- the first murder book on the list, but not the last. And there are even more on my longer, just-in-my-heas list as well- take from that what you will. I love a boarding school story, especially ones where someone gets killed, and it’s additionally highly promising that this is billed as being perfect for fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder!

Baby, It’s Cold Outside– there are so many Christmas love stories on my TBR that they could make up this whole list to be honest, but this is one I’ve carried over from last year. It sounds like the perfect thing to be reading at this time of year

The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels– I’m hoping to get to this at some point soon, because I’m absolutely honoured to have a proof of this. I definitely need to reread the Appeal in 2023 as well, the sooner the better! No one does adult murder mysteries like Janice Hallett.

Just Like Magic- another festive romcom, but with a difference! I posted that I wanted something like the Ex Hex but Christmassy, and a pal delivered by telling me about this!!

Auld Accquaintance/One Night in Edinburgh– feels weird putting these two together cause they’re VERY different (one’s a murder mystery and one’s a romance!) BUT they’re both set around New Year. As such, I’ve (possibly foolishly) decided to try and time it that I’m reading both on Hogmanay.

Thank you so much for reading! What is on your winter hopefuls list? Do you have any thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned? I’d love to have a chat in the comments!

Speak very soon,

Amy xxx
