Hello everybody! So, last year I did a post every single month where I spelled out months with book titles, and I wanted to keep the tradition going but change things up a bit.
I’ve asked friends and followers for some suggestions and have a couple but need more, so if you see this please do send one in! Anyway, onto our first word of the year, purple!
P is for… Peril en Pointe– this is such a great mystery book, and I also loved the ballet aspect of it. I’m sad there’s only two in the series though!
U is for… Under a Dancing Star– I love Laura Wood’s romance books, and this Much Ado About Nothing prequel was no exception. It’s so dreamy and romantic, and the enemies to lovers vibe is so great.
R is for… the Raspberry Rules– this was the first Karen McCombie book I ever read, and she is a hugely formative author for me so I’m so glad I did. It’s actually a prequel to her hit series Ally’s World, focusing on Rowan, and I loved it so much. My list of faves I want to reread is ludicrously long, but these need to happen someday for sure.
P is for… the Places I’ve Cried in Public- my second favourite Holly Bourne book! It’s about subtle but horrific abuse, and boys who make you cry, and putting your life back together in the aftermath. Another one on the “must reread” list !
L is for… Love in Winter Wonderland– I read this last month, and loved it so much I gave it to a friend for Christmas! I’m soooo behind on reviews but I’m hoping to pull myself together a bit.
E is for… the Empty Grave– potentially a bit strange to have the last book in a series, but I’m watching the TV series literally as we speak so it seemed apt. I loved this series so much and I’m dying to reread them even more now (a recurring theme in this post).
This word came from the wonderful @ReaderPenguin on twitter, who I highly recommend you giving a follow.
Thank you so much for reading! Have you got any thoughts on the books I’ve chosen? Which books with purple covers do you love? Let’s have a chat in the comments!
Amy xx
I always love these posts! I didn’t know (or more likely had forgotten!) that you wanted ideas for them! I know you dud months last year, how about things within those months this time, eg pancakes, valentines, Easter, spring, holiday, Halloween etc?
