Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be sharing some books I’m really excited about which are released in March. Onto the post!

February Releases I’m Excited For

November 2020 Releases I’m Excited For!

Hello everybody! Happy November! It’s one of my favourite months of the year, not least because my birthday is in it, so I’m very excited that there are a few more books being published in it this year than usual (most years there are only about 2 I’m interested in!). Onto the post!

October 2020 Releases I Can’t Wait to Read!

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be chatting about some of my most anticipated releases for next month, of which there are LOADS, so I’ve not went into massive detail about any. Onto the post!

The Castle of Tangled Magic– this will make me sound extremely shallow possibly, but I really know nothing about the plot about this, just that it’s a fantasy adventure about a girl called Olia! It’s by Sophie Anderson and the cover is stunning, so it was an auto buy just based on that to be honest.

Shadowspring– the first book in the International Yeti Collective series was so sweet and funny, and while I have to admit I don’t know what the sequel is actually about I was so excited when Stripes offered to send me one! I’m sure it’ll be another lovely, comforting read.

Malice in Underland– mostly giving this a go because it sounds like a fun debut and the title caught my attention! It seems like it combines fantasy and mystery which I usually like as well, so I’m definitely looking forward to giving it a go.

The Ghost of Gosswater– I REALLY liked Lucy Strange’s last book, and I usually enjoy historical ghost stories so I’m pretty sure this one will be up my alley- it’s about a girl who goes to stay with a stranger claiming to be her father in a creepy cottage, and her encountering a ghost! My fingers are very tightly crossed that my review copy will arrive soon!

The Slightly Alarming Tale of the Whispering Wars– I was SUCH a huge fan of the Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone, so I’m looking forward to visiting her world again and learning more about the Whispering Wars, which are a historical event that heavily influences the plot of that book.

Jungledrop– I thoroughly enjoyed the first in the Unmapped Kingdoms anthology series, Rumblestar, so I’m very excited to pay a visit to the kingdom that controls rain in this one! They’re so magical and fantastical and it’ll be a very welcome escape from reality.

A Snowfall of Silver– I’m a big fan of Laura Wood in general, but my favourite by far of her books is definitely A Sky Painted Gold, which this is a kind of companion to. It takes place 2 years later and sees Lou’s little sister Freya trying to achieve her dream of becoming an actress in London, and of course falling in love. It’s going to be GLORIOUS.

All I Want for Christmas is You– I haven’t read her other standalone yet, but I really enjoyed Beth Garrod’s Awkward trilogy so this YA version of the Holiday will hopefully be good! All her other books have quite a summery feel to them I think, so it’ll be nice to curl up with a wintry one to have some giggles.

Love Songs for Sceptics– this has been delayed SO many times and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it! The extract I read a few months ago was hilarious, and I love books that have some kind of music theme running through them so I’m very, very excited about this romcom, especially as that’s one of my favourite genres anyway.

Hollowpox– I’m a huge Nevermoor fan and I’m so excited the third one is finally here, it’s been 2 years since Wundersmith which has felt like forever!! It’s about a sinister magical pandemic, and I’ll be very surprised if it’s not incredible.

Owl and the Lost Boy– I adored the world in A Girl Called Owl when I read it years ago, and I was so excited to hear that a sequel is finally coming out! Amy Wilson just keeps getting better with every book and I can’t wait to revisit the world of her debut.

Someday at Christmas– this is Tanya Byrne’s debut adult book (written under a pen name!) And I’ve been meaning to read a full book from her for an embarrassing length of time so I’m hoping this one happens quite soon! It’s a Christmas romcom set in a department store, and I reckon I’ll love it.

The Miracle of Ebeneezer Street– I really enjoy Catherine Doyle’s books usually, so I’m mostly picking this up for that! I know it’s a Christmas Carol retelling but other than that I’m not very sure, knowing the Storm Keeper’s Island books I’ve no doubt I’ll end up crying at some point!

Tinsel– I’m not a million per cent sure what this is about to be honest, but it seems to be some kind of a twist on the Santa Claus story and I just feel like it’ll be really fun to read in the run up to Christmas!

What books out next month are you most excited for? Do you have any thoughts on the ones I’ve mentioned? I’d really love to hear in the comments!

September Releases I’m Excited For

Hello everybody! Today, I’m going to be talking about the September releases I’m looking forward to reading, of which there are quite a few! Onto the post!

Dragon Mountain– I am SO EXCITED for this book! It’s about a group of children bonding with dragons whilst at summer camp in China, and I have such high hopes for it. I watched an amazing interview with the authors the other day that’s made me even more excited as well!

Tamarind and the Star of Ishta– Jasbinder Bilan’s first book was so good, and it made me cry loads, so I think I’ll probably enjoy this one too. It’s about a girl called Tamarind who isn’t very familiar with her Indian heritage due to her mum dying when she was very young, as she visits her ancestral home and learns more about that part of her family and herself.

The Midnight Howl– I quite enjoyed the first book in this trilogy, so I’m definitely hoping to get to the second installment soon! I have to admit my memory of the Midnight Hour is pretty fuzzy as I read a proof back in late 2018 so it’s been almost 2 years, but hopefully it’ll come back to me once I get going with this! It’s about a girl called Emily with a connection to the world of the Midnight Hour, which is basically Victorian London with magic.

My Life as a Cat– Carlie Sorosiak’s MG debut I, Cosmo was my favourite book of 2019 so I’m really excited to see what this one is like! It’s about an alien who is sent to earth to live as a cat, and I’m sure it’ll be gorgeous and heartwarming and funny, and if it doesn’t make me cry at some point I’ll be astounded. I wept solidly through Cosmo just because of the sheer loveliness of it.

Beginners’ Luck– I absolutely love Simon James Green and I absolutely love MG, so I suspect I will love his first MG book, which is about a boy named Riley who believes he’s cursed with bad luck. It also has the seal of approval from my darling Ross, whose opinion I trust massively, so I honestly can’t wait to get stuck into this soon!

The Otherwhere Emporium– I’m a massive fan of this trilogy, and I can’t wait to read this one. I didn’t actually know there was going to be another one after Elsewhere Emporium till a couple of months ago so it was a very pleasant surprise! I don’t think Daniel is going to be in this one which I’m sad about, but I’m very excited nonetheless and I’m sure it’ll still be incredible. Ross Mackenzie’s writing is just beyond amazing.

Into the Spotlight– I’ll be honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the only other Carrie Hope Fletcher I’ve read so I may well wait to read this till the paperback is out, but it’s a kind of Ballet Shoes retelling which is why I’m interested.

Tilly and the Map of Stories- I really loved the first Pages and Co book, so while the second didn’t blow me away quite as much I’m definitely still planning to pick up this one to see how things end for Tilly! The concept of bookwandering is just incredible, and I can’t wait to see which worlds and characters Tilly and Oscar visit in this one.

I Kissed Alice– this is a US release so it might take me a while to get round to buying a copy, but I think this female/female romance sounds SO amazing. It’s about two girls who are competing against each other by day, and unknowingly falling in love online at the same time.

The Thursday Murder Club– I’m generally pretty wary of celebrity authors, but I’m a massive fan of Pointless and this (which is by Richard Osman, a co-presenter of Pointless) sounds right up my street anyway, so I kind of have to. It’s about a group of senior citizens who enjoy solving cold cases together, as they get to investigate their very own murder that’s just happened.

Which September releases are you excited for? Do you have any thoughts on the ones I’ve mentioned? I’d love to hear in the comments!
