The Christmas Tag

Hello everybody! Today, since it’s almost Christmas, I decided to do the Christmas Tag, which I found on Foundations and Fairytales. Onto the post!

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

Definitely the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street. I’ve not done my annual rewatch yet this year but I definitely will be before Christmas!

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

Yes, but I’m not a fan of snow so I’d rather not have them.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

We go and see my gran for a little while, but otherwise we’re usually at home for the rest of the day.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Carol of the Bells. It’s absolutely gorgeous and listening to it always gives me chills.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

No, but my mum always does a Christmas eve box for me with pyjamas and things, which I love. I’m so excited to see this year’s!

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake. I’ve never had a real one and don’t mind; I love our tree. It’s the decorations that make it special, in my opinion. I adore our big downstairs tree this year, and the little one I have in my room, so much!!

Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail badly when wrapping Christmas presents?

I am hopeless at wrapping. Gift bags are my friends. And I’m very lucky that my mum does some for me, because she is AMAZING at wrapping!

What makes the holidays special for you?

I really like having time to watch lots of films and things with family, and I tend to get lots of time for reading too which is great. And I am a huge fan of Christmas chocolate, so I LOVE it being available…

Do you prefer to give or to receive gifts?

If I am honest, recieving. Mostly because I get really stressed when giving presents in case people think it is stupid and hate it. But I do love it when someone loves it… so really both, I guess.

What place would you love to visit at Christmas?

Disneyland, without a doubt. It’d be so amazing getting to meet characters in their Christmas costumes, and I bet the decorations are just incredible.

Do you write and send Christmas cards?

Yes, though I’ve barely done any this year. I love doing them most years though!

What would your answers to these questions be? I’d love to hear in the comments!

The Bedtime Tag

Hello everybody!

Today, I’m going to do the Bedtime Tag, which I wasn’t tagged for but saw on Jenny in Neverland and thought it would be fun. Onto my answers!

1. Describe your usual bedtime routine

Go to bed, loiter on Twitter/finish a blog post till too late, read, be unable to sleep, read some more, finally get to sleep usually just before midnight.

2. What are your favourite pyjamas?

If you know me/how many pyjamas I own, you’d know this was an impossible question. My favourite type to buy are usually either animals, Tatty Teddy, Snoopy or Disney. I have one Harry Potter set, and a few other random pairs, but they’re my main weaknesses that I can’t leave in a shop.

3. What is your current bedtime reading?

I’m writing this quite a bit in the past (hello future!), so I have no idea what book I’ll be on when this goes live!

4. What would I find on your bedside table?

A few photos of my dogs, a bottle of water, my tablet on its charger and my lamp.

5. What scent makes you sleepy?

Lavender, because I am a cliche.

6.  What is your usual bedtime and wake up time?

I like to be asleep for half 11 when I’m at school (and usually fail), and I get up at 7 for school. On weekends holidays, I like to sleep in till 8 or 9.

7. What are your top three bedtime products?

I only ever use micellar water to take off makeup if I’ve worn any, and sometimes don’t even do that.

8. What is your most common sleeping position?

On my side, facing my wall.

9. Do you have anything you like to take to bed with you?

Like Jenny, I always have my teddy (albeit mine is a tiger called Liam) with me in bed.

10. What’s your worst bedtime habit?

Staying on my tablet too long, I really must stop this habit!

Thank you so much for reading! I won’t tag anyone, as I don’t know who’d like to do this, but  if you feel like it feel free! I’d love to hear if we have anything in common at bedtime down below or on Twitter @GoldenBooksGirl!

Autumn Tag

Hello everybody!

As we’re now a few days into October and I’m starting to feel very autumnal , I thought it would be fun to do the Autumn Tag (which I’ve not actually been tagged for, shhhh) that I saw on Louise’s fabulous blog.

Let’s get started!

 1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

I live in Scotland where sunny summer days aren’t especially common and summer isn’t actually all that different from other seasons. However, it does get considerably colder around the middle of Spetember, so that’s when it starts to properly feel like autumn to me!

2. What is your favourite Fall scent?

I don’t really associate any scents with Autumn, but a quick Google search tells me that vanilla is a scent in lots of Autumn candles, so I’m going to say that! I adore the scent of vanilla (especially if it’s an ice cream 😉🍦)

3. What is you favourite Autumn colour?

I really love the colours the leaves turn; a burnt orange or wine red 😍

4. What is your favourite Autumn drink?

I only drink water most of the time! But I do enjoy curling up with a mug of milk more in autumn and winter.

5. What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to this Fall?

I’m looking forward to the return of Grey’s Anatomy and Bull this year 😊

6. What is your favorite Autumn fashion trend?

I’m not really into fashion. I do love getting into new, cosy long sleeved pyjamas though! And continuing with Strictly Come Dancing of course!

7. What is your favourite Autumn activity?

Being in comfy pyjamas watching TV/fims or reading a book, often with my golden retrievers and golden retriever blanket for company.

8. Are you a bigger fan of Thanksgiving or Halloween?

I think Thanksgiving sounds like a super lovely holiday, but as I live in the UK I have to say Halloween.

Thank you so much for reading! I’m tagging Louise and Charlotte, if they’d like to do this, as I know they both love Autumn!

What are some of your favourite things about Autumn? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @GoldenBooksGirl!
