A Bookish Gift Guide from Bex Hogan

Hello everybody! Day 10 of blogmas!!! Since last posting dates are swiftly approaching, I figured I should probably share this gift guide from YA author Bex Hogan in case anyone is looking for a last minute treat for your favourite bookworm. Onto the post!

It’s my favourite time of the year! I am such a sucker for all things festive and especially enjoy searching for special gifts for my loved ones. I try to support small businesses as much as possible, so thought today I would share some of my top finds for the bookish person in your life!

We all love a good book-themed candle, right? I love this one from PretAGeek: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/700691692/book-lover-candle-125ml-bookish-candles?click_key=9c6b12e67e93a8339ef91e0f8d6421d6676545c1%3A700691692&click_sum=779a3cca&ref=shop_home_active_35&sts=1

I’m also very fond of this one from TheVintageBookCandle: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1308241660/wuthering-heights-emily-bronte-bookish?click_key=65e2d5de6e90c3af4aeb04f5e9c18bcf32d34bb9%3A1308241660&click_sum=473d0fdb&ref=shop_home_active_7&crt=1

Pins are a fantastic little gift – they don’t take up too much room, so you can always find a home for them! When I was Christmas shopping last year, I found this one and had to have it myself! Persuasion is one of my absolute favourites! From itslauracrow: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1041357305/half-agony-half-hope-jane-austen-enamel?click_key=56471d5a0ae26606c171b43a226e9f539a352dd8%3A1041357305&click_sum=9dbc6226&ref=shop_home_recs_19

It’s lovely to come across some merch for a UKYA fantasy! A Throne of Swans by Katharine and Elizabeth Corr is such a brilliant book, and I love this pin from LitPinsandCo: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1013651056/atratys-house-crest-a-throne-of-swans-a?click_key=d6305beeb2d332f5ab978431b44d86cca39a831c%3A1013651056&click_sum=51cca5bb&ref=shop_home_active_60

A tote is an essential for book buying! And you can never have too many! These are just a couple of fab ones in an ocean of amazing totes!

From BookishlyUK: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/951227108/literary-tote-bag-is-it-insomnia-or-is?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bookish+tote&ref=sr_gallery-5-17&frs=1&edd=1&organic_search_click=1

From BookishlyDreaming: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1209462584/bookish-tote-bag-midnight-reader?click_key=15034a66089a8ca85bbed6c73fd558a6a0612f15%3A1209462584&click_sum=dbcfa289&ref=shop_home_recs_21

If you’re anything like me, you have loads of bookmarks but can never actually find one when you need it! The solution? Buy more! I love the foil on these ones from QuoteandQuillShop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1308413704/pride-and-prejudice-rose-gold-foil?click_key=fdf76ea56823594d165c0634c768515f69a3f074%3A1308413704&click_sum=4d15849f&ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1&crt=1

And if you’re after something a little more special, what about this from AgniPrasadaBurning? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/512586933/handmade-wooden-bee-bookmark-mothers-day?click_key=bf3bb64b1f87bd082741d4c6a45043a1c5b8f1d5%3A512586933&click_sum=faa1dfd9&ref=shop_home_active_5&frs=1&crt=1&sts=1

If you’re still looking for inspiration may I suggest literally everything on LiteraryEmporium’s website? From jewellery to clothes, they have everything a bookworm could desire! https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LiteraryEmporium?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1215358171

Or else, just head to Etsy and have fun discovering new sellers! There are so many wonderful creators making beautiful products.

And of course, I can’t talk about presents for book lovers without mentioning books themselves! Please support your local bookshops where at all possible – you’ll make their Christmas!

Thank you so much for reading! Have you bought anything from small businesses recently? What do you think of Bex’s choices? I’d love to chat in the comment6s!

Speak very soon,

Amy xxx

This year I opted to ask for one of those pillows with arms to be more comfy reading in bed.
