The Jingle Bell Book Tag

Hello everybody! I can’t believe how few of these 12 days of blogmas posts I still have left to do, I’ve been enjoying them so much, and I’m looking forward to getting my last uni exam over with today so I can catch up properly on other people’s Christmassy content. Anyway, today I’m going to be doing the Jingle Bell Book Tag, which I found on the Humpo Show. Onto the post!

All I Want For Christmas Is You…” | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

Ooh I don’t think I’m getting any books for Christmas! So I will make something up and that something is one of my most anticipated 2021 releases, Destination Anywhere. It was originally due out this year in June, and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it this April.

Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time… |”What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

So so hard! I couldn’t possibly pick just one, but Death Sets Sail is probably at the top of my MG list and I can’t think of a YA I loved more than A Snowfall of Silver. “It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” | Which book has most festive look to it? It’s getting harder to do prompts like this the more Christmas tags I do! Tinsel has a very Christmassy cover, and I really enjoyed that when I read it a few days ago.

Elf | What book unleashes your inner child?

I read a lot of MG, so I guess all of them? I don’t think I can come up with a specific book…

The Grinch | Your favourite villain…

I feel like I’ve said this so many times recently, but Cruella de Vil is very much up there! I thought the Gorm were very sinister in Podkin One Ear for something I read more recently that I don’t think I’ve mentioned anywhere.

The Holiday | Name your favourite TWO couples…

I watched the Holiday for the first time this year and I enjoyed it so much! Freya and her love interest in A Snowfall of Silver, and Robin and his love interest in Boy Queen are my fave bookish couples this year for sure. Not naming the names of the love interests because there are a couple, but it’s the ones they end up with if you’ve read them!

What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

This is an AMAZING question, I love it. I think I’d go for A Kind of Spark, because as well as being an immersive and thoroughly enjoyable read, it has some really important messages about kindness and empathy and not alienating people for being different.

What’s your favourite Christmas song? Do you have any thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned for these prompts? I’d love to hear in the comments!
